CIVIC AWARD OF MERIT MEDAL:


This Award of Merit Medal is placed in the capsule to show those who open this capsule at a future date the accolades that have been given to citizens who have made singulary notable contributions to the civic well-being of the community, and in doing so, have advanced the reputation and stature of the city. The medal is in gold, symbolically signifying the ultimate regard that the Council and Citizens of the City of Toronto behold the recipients. The medal was provided by Henry Birks and Sons, Toronto jewelers.

“CHỜ LỆNH” Người chiến sĩ VNCH vẫn  ghì chặt tay súng  , đạn dược người lính mang đầy lưng và trong tư thế sẵn sàng chiến đấu.. cặp mắt  người lính đăm chiêu xa xăm nghiêng nghiêng như trách hờn từ viêc triệt thoái  vùng 1 của Tướng Ngô Quang Trưởng và tiếp tục vùng 2 của Tướng Phạm văn Phú rút lui khỏi Tây Nguyên ,Ban Mê Thuột về bảo vệ SaiGon theo lời của TT Nguyễn văn Thiệu. Tuớng Phú dõng dạt tuyên  bố  : ” nếu bỏ vùng 2 rút về bảo vê Sai Gon thì tôi sẽ tự sát “.. người Anh hùng đó đã dùng thuốc đôc quyên sinh sau khi Sai Gon thất thủ lọt vào tay CSBV và những người lính VNCH vẩn còn ngồi đó chờ lệnh.. ?!
Tinh thần của các Anh Chiến sĩ VNCH rất cao độ ,anh dũng và sẵn sàng hy sinh không hề luì bước trước quân thù..
  Đầu hàng hay là tiếp tục chiến đấu trong vô vọng ..tác phẩm “Chờ Lệnh “của ĐKG Phạm thế Trung ghi lại những nét bi hùng của ngưòi chiến sĩ VNCH trong thời điểm mà lịch sử sẽ không bao giờ quên và luôn  ghi ơn những Anh hùng đó  nay vẫn còn  hay đã mất..!
